I turned 40 last year, so I thought it was time for an update in my routine makeup. I really like the convenience of mineral makeup, and the idea of it being more natural really appealed to me. I had a friend who tried Sheer Cover, and she sent me a link where I could get a starter kit for free if I just paid shipping. I got it, and then it got me! LOL

Apparently, there is an ingredient (bismuth oxychloride) in a lot of mineral makeups that can cause itching and irritation...well, my irritation wasn't minor itching and irritation - it literally BURNED my skin! It's like I have a horrible sunburn, and the redness and itching is just awful. I've never had an allergic reaction to anything...so this was a shock.

I don't want to badmouth this brand, though, because my friend just LOVES it. Me, on the other hand, I'm just going to enjoy looking a little outdated, and stick with my old stuff! LOL
