We decorated our home for Christmas today, and although we didn't get everything done, we always have a good time together. Of course, I see all kinds of things I'd love to sew for the holidays, but no matter how hard I try, I never can get them all accomplished. There are just too many great ideas out there!

One tradition we have is an annual cookie decorating party. Last year, I put the party together by myself, but this year one of the other moms, Kathy, is going to help, so that will make the planning all the more fun.

We have homemade cookies, and then the kids get to decorate them any way they want. Last year I embroidered an apron for each girl. This year, Kathy (my fellow "mom") had a great idea! She is going to put together little gifts like cookbooks and cookie cutters and things, and then I'm going to embroider a bag for each girl.
