Here, at The Crackerjack Shack, we’re praying for “Naked Day”

Naked Day? What in the world…?

I know. I know.

I’m Ann Tiller, the new project manager at The Crackerjack Shack’s Republic location. And, being relatively new to the world of embroidery and screen printing, I was wondering the same thing when at a recent staff meeting, Sandy, our beloved leader, told us to pray for “Naked Day?”

Uh, yeah… ok, Sandy. Are you sure you really want to go there?

Well, it turns out that The Crackerjack Shack, in fact the apparel industry as a whole, has two distinct seasons – spring and fall. In between that time, well, let's just say it's the time we all recover from spring and fall. THEN, there is that one magical day that happens twice a year, when the people of the world wake up and realize that they have NOTHING TO WEAR!

OMG!!!

So, they all flock (I’m envisioning a horde of people) to the BEST little screen-printing and embroidery shop in Springfield and Republic, aka The Crackerjack Shack, to order clothing to fill the void in their closets and to, for heaven’s sake, put some clothes on!

The Coming of the Spring Apparel Season

So, now I’m a little concerned. Sandy has told me of the coming of the Spring apparel season.

“There will be people pouring through the doors,” she says in an excited voice. “The phones will be ringing off the hook and the emails will be coming in by the hundreds each day!"

"Are YOU ready?” she asks.

So, thinking that Sandy might just be being a little overly dramatic, I nonchalantly wandered around the shop the other day throwing out the words “apparel season” to our unsuspecting folks in production.

“Is it really as, um, momentous, as Sandy makes it sound?” I asked.

Their eyes grew big in anticipation of the coming season. “Yes. Yes, it is.”

Well, no wonder everyone’s so excited. At any moment, a bunch of naked people are going to come bursting through our doors.
